Celebrating the Creativity of Women

Women in Visual Art (WIVA) is honored to present two exceptional art exhibits this March, celebrating the incredible talent and creative perspectives of women artists and photographers during Women’s History Month. This annual observance recognizes the vital role of women in history and contemporary society, and WIVA believes art is a powerful way to amplify women’s voices and contributions. We invite you to join us for a month-long celebration of creativity, inspiration, and the remarkable achievements of women in the arts!

Third Annual Women in Art Exhibit at the BCAF Hive Gallery

From February 26th to March 28th, immerse yourself in a vibrant collection of artwork at the Bee Cave Arts Foundation Hive Gallery. Our third annual Women in Art exhibit showcases a diverse range of mediums and styles, offering a glimpse into the unique visions of talented women artists. This exhibit underscores the importance of providing platforms for women to share their artistic expressions, enriching our understanding of the world through their unique lenses.

Second Annual Women in Photography Exhibit at the Lake Travis Library

Capture the moment! The Lake Travis Library will host our second annual Women in Photography exhibit from March 1st to 29th. This showcase highlights the artistry and skill of women photographers, revealing their powerful visual narratives. Join us for the Opening Reception on March 8th from 1:30-3pm to meet the artists and celebrate their work! Photography, as a medium, has often been a tool for women to document their experiences and challenge societal norms. This exhibit celebrates that legacy.

Both exhibits are produced and curated by WIVA, an organization dedicated to supporting and promoting women in the visual arts. We are passionate about providing opportunities for women artists to share their work and connect with the community. During Women’s History Month, it’s more important than ever to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women artists, past and present.

We encourage you to visit both locations and experience the remarkable contributions of these talented women. Join us in celebrating Women’s History Month and the power of art!
