    Women in Art Exhibit 2024

    WIVA presented “Women in Art 2024”, a special two month-long art exhibition celebrating Women’s History from February 3rd – March 22nd at the The Hive Gallery in the Hill Country Galleria. This creative exhibit showcasing a diverse array of paintings, drawings, sculptures, mixed media, and fiber arts by 68 local women artists was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. There was an Opening Party on February 3rd from 2-4pm and an Artist Reception on March 2nd from 2-4pm. Artist demonstrations included Gelli prints, Zentangle drawings and watercolors on February 3rd.     Women in Photography Exhibit 2024

    WIVA presented the debut Women in Photography 📸 art exhibit on display from March 1-30, 2024 at the Lake Travis Community Library in celebration of Women’s History Month. This exhibit featured thirty photographs from eleven local photographers, showcasing their diverse perspectives and talents as well as compelling photographic portraits of women subjects. Artist Reception took place on on Saturday March 9th from 1:30-3pm. The reason for this exhibit was to celebrate the annual Women’s History Month through creative photographic expressions highlighting women’s history, issues, and rights. Photographers of all ages were encouraged to explore themes of voting, equality, health, beauty, motherhood, and more, whether through abstract or realistic photographic representations.…
