DESCRIPTION:Women in Visual Art (WIVA) is delighted to present “Women in Photography 2025\,” a captivating exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month. Held at the Lake Travis Library from March 1st to March 29th\, 2025\, this showcase will feature a diverse collection of powerful and inspiring photographs. Exploring themes of women’s history\, health\, beauty\, motherhood\, and the ongoing pursuit of equality\, the exhibition will feature both works by established women photographers and captivating portraits of women captured by talented local artists. \nJoin us for a special Photographer Reception on International Women’s Day\, March 8th\, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Meet the photographers\, celebrate their work\, and enjoy light refreshments at this free and open-to-the-public event. \nThe exhibit will be open throughout March during regular library hours. Be sure to also visit the companion exhibition\, “Women in Art 2025\,” taking place at the Hive Gallery in the Hill Country Galleria from February 26th to March 28th. This showcase highlights the stunning artwork of local women artists. \nBoth exhibitions are part of WIVA’s ongoing mission to champion the voices and talents of women in visual art.

Help us amplify the voices of women artists and be a part of this inspiring celebration of creativity and empowerment. The Hive Gallery\, with its stunning ambiance\, will not only showcase exceptional artwork but also host engaging demonstrations\, workshops and exciting events throughout the exhibition. \n\n\nWe invite you to join us at the Opening Party on February 3rd from 2-4pm and the Artist Reception on March 2nd from 2-4pm. Artist demonstrations will include Gelli prints\, Zentangle drawings and watercolors on February 3rd. On March 2nd\, we will enjoy the Wildflowers singers\, more art demonstrations and a hands-on art factory!\n\nAbout Women in Art 2024\n\n\n“Women in Art 2024”is a special two month-long art exhibition celebrating Women’s History from February 3rd – March 22nd at the The Hive Gallery in the Hill Country Galleria.
