Women in Visual Art (WIVA) is proud to present two inspiring curated exhibitions celebrating Women’s History Month in March 2025: Women in Photography and Women in Art. We invite you to share your artistry and submit your work for consideration in one or both of these annual exhibits. See below for more details on submissions. Deadline for entries is January 16, 2025 at 5pm. If you are a woman photographer or artist, you are invited to submit your work for consideration in one or both of these renowned exhibits. As an added bonus, WIVA Members will receive special recognition in these exhibits. Deadline to submit an application for either exhibit is January 16, 2025 at 5pm. Women in Photography 2025 Opening Reception
Lake Travis Community Library 1938 Lohmans Crossing, Austin, TX, United StatesWomen in Visual Art (WIVA) is delighted to present "Women in Photography 2025," a captivating exhibition celebrating Women's History Month. Held at the Lake Travis Library from March 1st to March 29th, 2025, this showcase will feature a diverse collection of powerful and inspiring photographs. Exploring themes of women's history, health, beauty, motherhood, and the ongoing pursuit of equality, the exhibition will feature both works by established women photographers and captivating portraits of women captured by talented local artists. Join us for a special Photographer Reception on International Women's Day, March 8th, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Meet the photographers, celebrate their work, and enjoy light refreshments at this free and open-to-the-public event. The exhibit will be open throughout March during regular library hours. Be sure to also visit the companion exhibition, "Women in Art 2025," taking place at the Hive Gallery in the Hill Country Galleria from February 26th to March 28th. This showcase highlights the stunning artwork of local women artists. Both exhibitions are part of WIVA's ongoing mission to champion the voices and talents of women in visual art.
